Connect your Steam account and jumpstart your GOG.com library.
You own the games, so why buy them more than once?
To connect your library with GOG.com, sign in to your active Steam account via this page. NOTE: Make sure your Steam Privacy Settings & Profile Status are set to public.
You'll be able to permanently import all the games listed below to your GOG.com library – assuming you own them. The eligible games are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned for more games to come.
You can connect only one Steam account with your GOG.com library. This process is permanent – choose wisely!
Can you walk me through this process?
1) Log in to, or create, your GOG.com account.
2) Log in to your Steam account via the secure form.
3) Use the ""Import Games"" button on this page. You can deselect any games you don't want to import - otherwise all of your eligible games will be added to your GOG.com library.
Is every game released on GOG.com eligible?
We can only make a selection of games eligible depending on various agreements with our partners. You'll always be able to find an up-to-date list of eligible titles on this page.
How long will these games be eligible?
Duration will vary from game to game – the time left to redeem each game is shown on its respective product icon above.
Are there any differences between the GOG.com and Steam versions of my product?
Importing your game will get you the complete GOG.com release – just as if you had bought it normally. The specifics may vary from game to game, but you can always check what's included on the game's product page.
Is this process secure? What, if any, Steam account credentials do you store on GOG.com?
The process is secure as can be – logging in to your Steam account is handled entirely through the official Steam API. We'll only look at your Steam ID to determine which games you own, and show you your Steam username and avatar.
Can I disconnect or change my connected Steam account?
You can only connect one Steam library per GOG.com account. This process is permanent.
Will you include more titles in the future?
We'll be doing our best to expand GOG Connect in the future! You'll need to import new games when they're added, so stay tuned and check back regularly to see if anything new has been added.
Will I be able to connect my account instantaneously?
The API used for this process supports a limited amount of calls on any given day. You may be placed in a queue before your accounts are connected.
Do I get to keep my Steam games?
Absolutely, your Steam library won't be affected. Connecting your accounts will only get you more stuff: GOG.com copies of your eligible games.
Do I get to use my Steam save files in their GOG.com versions?
As a rule of thumb - yes. Save files are generally compatible across distribution platforms although there may be exceptions to the rule. Keep in mind that your Steam cloud saves will not be automatically transferred or backed up. Make sure that you choose to keep your save files if you're uninstalling a game (or have a backup on hand) and you want to continue your progress with the GOG.com version of your game.
Can I import my cloud saves, achievements, and friends list?
Right now, GOG Connect doesn't transfer any of your account information – just the games.
Can I play the GOG versions of the games with my Steam friends (for multiplayer ones)?
This depends entirely on the game – not all games support multiplayer gameplay between Steam and GOG.com.
What if I already own a game on both GOG.com and Steam? Do I get an extra key?
Unfortunately not – you will not receive an extra copy of a game you already own on GOG.com.
Do I get to keep my game on GOG.com even if it's no longer eligible for import?
Yes. Once you have imported a game, it's yours to keep. Make sure to import all of your eligible games as soon as you can!
If I no longer have the game in my Steam library, do I still keep it on GOG.com?
If a game is removed from your Steam account for any reason, such as through manual deletion or a refund – we reserve the right to remove the games from your GOG.com library.
Due to technical limitations, it may take several minutes to detect a new purchase. Try refreshing shortly.
